Abstract: S&T intermediaries play critical role on maintaining network ties and optimizing allocation of innovative resource. Using social network analysis theory, this paper examines the impacts of S&T intermediary function and network position on performance of industry cluster based on studies 32 typical industry cluster in Zhejiang province . The results show that S&T intermediary strengthened performance of the cluster by means of three types of functions, such as searching & perceiving, communication & absorption, commercialization, and it takes more advantage on allocating cluster resource when S&T intermediary is at the centre of network and hold more structural holes. The more important the network position of S&T intermediary is, the stronger role S&T intermediary plays by improving its function of searching & perceiving, communication & absorption. The empirical findings provide us with valuable policy implication in development and management of S&T intermediaries.

摘要： 科技中介是集群维持网络联结，优化创新资源配置的重要载体。借助社会网络分析工具，以32个浙江省典型产业集群为例，分析了科技中介及其网络位置对产业集群绩效的影响机制。研究结果表明：科技中介通过发挥搜寻认知、交流吸收、商业化三类功能促进了集群绩效的提升，而位于网络中心并占有丰富结构洞的科技中介在优化集群资源配置方面更具优势，当科技中介的网络位置越重要，通过完善其搜寻认知、交流吸收功能而获得的集群绩效促进作用越强。研究结果对于我国科技中介的发展及管理具有重要的政策指导意义。
