  • Survey on epistemic culture through laboratory studies
  • SHENG Xiaoming;CHEN Haidan
  • 2007 Vol. 25 (6): 1041-1046.
  • Abstract ( )
  • Science as epistemic model, what characteristics and conditions it has, how its epistemic paradigms evolve, change, and the pursuit of these questions compose what we call epistemic culture. This paper discusses social studies of science, especially epistemic culture issues through the approach of laboratory studies. Laboratory studies exhibit the multiple dimensions of scientific epistemic, the differences among epistemic paradigms within various scientific disciplines, which provide rich and constructive examples in our search for the structure and evolution of epistemic culture.
  • Scientific literacy building: action in the word
  • CHEN Shou
  • 2007 Vol. 25 (6): 1057-1062.
  • Abstract ( )
  • The world witnesses three periods of scientific literacy building since 1950s: sprout, rising and strategic development. According to the initiatives, these constructive actions can be grossly categorized into three fields: specific project, capacity building and propaganda from international conference. Through the ways of reform in formal scientific education, traditional popularization of science and powerful media networks, these actions are characterized by sound operational system, sub-division of objects, training of mobilizers, construction of infrastructures and powerful media.

In this article: firstly, it introduces the general concept from three constitutional facets; secondly, it analyses the IP securitization from the perspective of key technologies; thirdly, it analyzes the beneficial inspirations based on the Japan and America IP securitization practice; lastly, it proposes the developing policies based on expounding the favorable IP securitization factors in our country.

  • The measurement on the space-time differentiation of high-tech industry evolution
  • XU Xiaodi;WANG Zilong;TAN Qingmei
  • 2007 Vol. 25 (6): 1095-1103.
  • Abstract ( )
  • The evolution situation in time and spatial series of Chinese high-tech industry is measured by the information entropy, the concentration degree index and index. The conclusion indicates that the high-tech industry evolution can be divided into three stages in the time series, the evolved characteristic presents “balance-unbalance- balance” pattern. High-tech industry of China takes on strong geography concentration phenomenon in the spatial distribution, at the meanwhile the industry geography concentration shows local profession monopoly characteristic. Further more the different industry concentration tendency is different. The main concentration areas include Yangtze River Delta, Zhujiang Delta and Bohai Rim. The localization characteristic of distribution is the efficient amse, which leades to the weak relevant between the high-tech industrial layout and the space length.
  • Hightech firms’ value adding: green house effect of science parks
  • LV Ping;YANG Zhenning;WANG Yihua
  • 2007 Vol. 25 (6): 1122-1128.
  • Abstract ( )
  • Using exploratory factor analysis, this study extracts four factors of resources the science parks provide to their inner firms, and another four facors to evaluate the firms’ operating performance in the science parks, then we examine the relationship between the resources science parks provide and the firms’ operating performance, and found significant positive correlation between these two groups of variables. The technological support, service and cultural atmosphere the science parks provide have great effect on their inner firms’ tenological performance and capital performance, which illuminates the Green House effect the science parks have on the value-adding of the fims.
