Combining the static and dynamic panel date model, this paper use the date of Chinese provinces from 2004 to 2012 to analyze the effect of sci-tech finance investment on sci-tech innovation in China.The results show that:there is a significant positive correlation between sci-tech finance investment and sci-tech innovation in the short term,however,the effect of sci-tech finance investment on sci-tech innovation is not evidently in the long term.Enterprise's own funds,government financial investment and social capital are the main factors affecting sci-tech innovation,and financial market investment have a little effect.There are regional difference in the effect of sci-tech finance investment on sci-tech innovation,that enterprise's own funds and social capital have a greater impact on sci-tech innovation in the eastern areas and western areas,government financial investment have a greater impact on sci-tech innovation in the central areas.Finally,this article presents relevant policy implications according to the research.
Based on SBM Directional Distance Function, the paper calculates the Green Growth Index of Industry (GGII) in China from 2007 to 2011, and based on industrial heterogeneity, for each group, the paper looks into the differences among effects of independent innovation, domestic technology introduction, foreign technology introduction, environmental regulation and FDI. The paper reveals that: first, high-tech industries and strategic emerging industries have higher GGII, while energy- and resource-intensive industries display lower GGII. Second, the effect of independent innovation is higher than domestic technology introduction and foreign technology introduction in all groups. Third, in high and middle groups, the effect of domestic technology introduction is higher than foreign technology introduction, and FDI is passive; while in low group,the effect of domestic technology introduction is lower than foreign technology introduction, and FDI is negative.Forth, environmental regulation is negative in high group and passive in middle and low groups. In final we put forwards the suggestion for promoting green growth of industry.
Government technology policy and enterprise technology strategy and the co-evolution between them have great impact on the innovation performance of Aircraft and Spacecraft Manufacturing (ASM). This paper constructs the matrix analysis model of technology policy and technology strategy, puts forward four technological innovation types of ASM, and sums up the development process of aviation and aerospace industries, respectively. Then based on the S&T activities data of Chinese ASM from 1995 to 2010, we apply empirical model to analyze the relationship of Technology policy, strategy and innovation performance. It has been found that the technology policy and strategy have a positive impact on the industry’s innovation performance. Our results also show that the development of the industry is more dependent on the improvement of domestic technology. And the indigenous innovation has been chosen by China as the main development paradigm. We also reveal that the technology policy is more related to the leading strategy adopted by Chinese aerospace companies.
Based on the perspective of regional trade gap, and taking the foreign technology as one of the influence factors of regional trade gap ,we want to explore the inner link among foreign technology spillover impact,regional trade gap and China economic growth by using the provincial panel data from 1997 to 2010. The results showed that it exists the inverted u-shaped relation between the regional trade gap and China economic growth, and calculate its inflection point value of 2.909. When we discuss the marginal effect of regional trade gap on economic growth if associating foreign technology spillover impact with regional trade gap,the marginal effect is not only related to the size of foreign technology spillover impact,also is related to the interactions between regional trade gap and foreign technology spillover impact,and the fundamental conditions depend on the relations that they are complementary or alternative within the scope of the threshold,also we calculate the threshold value of 1.845. Then we analyzed the possible causes of the empirical results.
This paper try to research two industrial clusters with different structures (homogeneous structure with no leading firms and heterogeneous structure with leading firms) and the comparative evolution of the respective clusters from three aspects of entry barriers, labor division levels and the innovation capacity. The research thus has the following conclusions: (1) compared with homogeneous structures, the heterogeneous structures’ scale is smaller, but the overall earnings will be higher when they become stable. (2)the heterogeneous structure clusters(those with leading firms) have higher labor division levels and more innovation capacity when compared with homogeneous structure clusters. (3) the research also finds that, with the appearance of leading firms and the increasing of entry barriers, entrepreneurship in the cluster may be suppressed(especially in new ventures), thus it would be harder than homogeneous structure clusters to develop new ventures, however, the welfare of the entire cluster would increase. It thus indicates that the development of leading firms will have complex effects on the clusters.
Considering time-lag between inputs and outputs in multiple phases as well as interdependence among various inputs and among diversified outputs, the study to solve problem on utilization effectiveness assessment of S&T resource in scientific research institutes is conducted in this paper based on the perspective of time-lag effect and interdependence effect. Firstly, a matrix analysis model and an assessment index system are constructed. Then, an assessment method considering time-lag effect and interdependence effect is proposed. Taking Chinese Academy of Sciences for example, an empirical study is conducted to assess such institute’s utilization effectiveness of S&T resource in the phases of knowledge transformation and achievement transformation. Furthermore, the assessment results are mapped into the matrix analysis model to analyze utilization effectiveness of S&T resource in depth. Moreover, the best allocation interval of S&T resource in two phases can be determined by sensitivity analysis. This study can provide a valuable decision reference for scientific research institutes to improve utilization effectiveness of S&T resource and explore the optimal path for S&T resource allocation.
The concept of Mapping of Knowledge Domains and the CiteSpace(a information visualization tool) get a lot of attention quickly since they introduced in domestic academia, the relevant literature spring up like mushroom in a variety of domestic information science journals. But we find the knowledge visualization tool is "abused" and "misused" seriously by reading more than 500 papers that applied CiteSpace ,which shows that academic circles is lack of sufficient understanding of the methodology function of Mapping of Knowledge Domains. This article makes a deeper interpretation on CiteSpace from four aspects, design philosophy, theoretical basis, applying process and application function, which will benefit domestic scholars to deepen the understanding of the tool, and apply the tool more flexibly and effectively in scientific research.
Strategy map as the description and planning tools of strategy has been widely applied in enterprises, universities, hospitals and other type of organizations. This paper about the action mechanism of customer knowledge management process on service product development performance based on the collaboration competency perspective. Based on the theoretical preset, using exploratory case study to explore and examine the action mechanism of how the collaboration competency influence customer knowledge management process, and thus affect service product development performance. The results confirmed that absorptive capacity, coordination and relational capability has a significant positive effect on customer knowledge acquisition, sharing and application respectively, therefore, a theoretical framework "collaborative capabilities - customer knowledge management - service product development performance" is established. The conclusions provides a guideline for us to further understanding the mechanism of collaborative capabilities on the service product development performance ,and also provides reference for enterprises to improve customer knowledge management, thus contributing to the practice of service product development performance through collaboration competency .
As a new type of knowledge production, the impact of open source has become more and more prominent on the practice field. In this paper, we focus on the open content production, which is one type of open source knowledge production, to explore the relationship between incentive constitutions and knowledge contributors. Based on a deep analysis of baidu’s open content platforms, which are very successful in China, we explain how incentive constitutions influent the contributor’s knowledge sharing behavior. Results show that the shared cultural of internet is not a sufficient exploration for internet user’s knowledge contribution behavior. The incentive constitution plays an important role in promoting netizen’s knowledge contributions. And also, we explain how collective actions, trust and reciprocal, adverse selection and lemon market, which are barriers in traditional knowledge sharing, area are overcomed in these platforms.
The existing literature researching on the relationship of technological diversification and firm performance have ignored the impact on the relationship of technological diversification and firm performance of technology integration. The paper is an empirical research on the relationship of technological diversification and firm performance and the moderating effects of technology integration based on panel data of the Listed High-tech Companies. The research results show that technological diversification have an inversed U relationship on firm performance. Technology integration capability has a significant positive moderating effects on the relationship between technological diversification and firm performance. Technology integration organization has a significant positive moderating effects on the relationship between technological diversification and firm performance. It is essential that the firm should increase technology integration capability and provide technology integration organization when the firm implement the strategy of technological diversification.
This article reviews capability theory firstly, and summarizes the importance of capability accumulation. It also analyzes how paradigm shifting destroys the old capability, and the new requirement of capability from new paradigm. This article proposes “capability paradox” which means that, less capability accumulation leads to weak innovation basis, but strong capability hinders radical innovation. Capability can be decomposed into general capability and special one. The reconfiguration of special capability needs the general one even during paradigm shifting. It takes the new energy vehicle for example to explain the importance of capability accumulation and reconfiguration. Finally it gives conclusion and policy implication.
Along with the advancement of globalization, more and more multinational companies in developing countries to build a leading market dominant position in the market.As the largest developing country, China's domestic enterprises are facing unprecedented market competition pressure and need to improve the ability of the competition to change the backward market position.This paper studies the construction of latecomer firms’ competitive advantage based on the China’s mobile phone chip market. The study found that, disruptive innovation is more suitable for the latecomer firms who lack of technical advantage compared with independent innovation. In addition,though the analysis of MediaTek,this paper although discusses the construction of latecomer firm’s competitive advantage based on disruptive innovation.The study found that,in the process of the evolution of communication technology in China,the construction of MediaTek’s competitive advantage include opportunity identification, value network reconfiguration and high-end market disruption.
Ambidexterity and punctuated equilibrium are major modes for enterprises to balance exploration and exploitation innovation. The enterprises need to select the appropriate one for a short-term and long-term survival and development. This paper discusses the impact of absorptive capacity and openness on the innovation balance mode selection from the perspective of knowledge acquisition. By text analysis, we extract information from the annual reports of 260 listed companies in the information technology industry and the electronics manufacturing industry, machinery industry and the pharmaceutical and biotech instrumentation products industry, to measure innovation balanced mode. We also test our hypothesis by hierarchical regression. The result shows that absorptive capacity helps enterprises to obtain the knowledge required by innovation from outside. The high absorption capacity enterprise who selects ambidexterity can achieve higher performance than those select punctuated equilibrium. Openness also helps enterprises to obtain external knowledge to make up their lack of knowledge. The enterprise who selects ambidexterity can achieve higher performance than those select punctuated equilibrium in a high degree of openness. On the contrary, enterprise who selects punctuated equilibrium can achieve higher performance in a lower degree of openness.
On the basis of study on the low level of innovation efficiency and conversion rate, the index system of synergy innovation platform is put forward inspired by the mechanisation of synergy innovation. The index system is composed of five aspects of organization coordination,resource integration,knowledge sharing,achievement transformation and risk scattering. Based on the data of 14 industrial technology research institutes from all over the country, The Analytic Hierarchy Process is exploited to calculate weight of indicators,and simulation experiments are proceeded with BP Neural Network. Thus, the thesis proposes some policy recommendations to increase efficiency and reliability of synergy innovation.
