Abstract: Yang Zhen-ning, for a long time, rationally considers development issues on science and technology of China, and gives advice and suggestions for it. He has a strategic vision which beyond the development of science and technology, he knows where is the direction for the mainstream of science and technology in the world to flow, he has found the key secret which made the economics and science ﹠ technology develop in high speed in the United States and Japan, he has investigated deeply to search the problems in the development of science and technology in China. With regard to the development of science and technology in China, he has always advocated aiming at the most promising frontier in the world, and also starting from down- to- earth to resolve the actual problems of China. To research Yang Zhen-ning, not only needs to know what he did for China over the past decades, but also understand why he so did. The pursuit of high success rate is the sign of his moderate thought, and except pursuing the high rate of return on investment in science and technology, no other way from which China's science and technology could catch up with the advanced countries as soon as possible.
